Facebook for Social Media Marketing? Think Again!

Its been a while since Facebook added the “Boost Post” option and decreased the Pages’ reach. For those who don’t know, Facebook recently added a Boost Post and Promote Page option and limited the Page reach. It means now you have to pay to reach more people.

For Instance, Previously a page with 10K likes, if posted a post it used to reach 5K-6K people which was pretty good but now its about 200-600 people and that’s even worse for links, outbound links only reach 60-200 people now and still you cant say that all the people will click on your link.

So, to reach more people you have to pay for every post now. Which is quite out of budget for some bloggers.

So, what to do now? Social media plays a huge role in engaging with more audience.

Well, nonetheless but only Twitter can save you now. As you might have seen Twitter is the Place where professionals are there and there are no online games where kids are likely to waste their time.

And as Facebook Pages’ reach is low now. Twitter is really engaging with audience. Twitter got People mainly who are there to promote their business, so you can try twitter.

And always try to tweet on the time where most of the people are active depending upon what type of niche you chose.

So Good luck with Twitter and Stay tuned for more such articles!

It can be incredibly frustrating knowing that your updates are not reaching your likers. It is worth mixing things up a bit, as some posts with links seem to reach more people than those without them. It seems a hard one to work out!

Twitter is great for engaging and you can also share photos for visual sites, but some people do find the character limit restricting. Facebook was great for being able to ‘chat’ with your readers, but as Facebook is getting more difficult to use for business, many bloggers are looking elsewhere. Google+ is the new and improved Facebook IMHO!

      Hi Catherine,

Thanks for leaving the first comment. Yeah, Twitter is indeed one of the best way to engage with your audience and readers. I agree, that sometimes people find it hard to promote due to the character limit.

But as you said Google+ is the new and improved facebook. Its quite true and most of the Pro Bloggers get a lot of their traffic and readership from Google+.

I’d Say use every source. But spend most of the time on the best.

    Hi Rohit
You raised a valid point here about commercilization of Facebook. Many people have not yet noted how the reach of their sharing shrank on it.

This is growing trends of monetizing each facility at social media that made Facebook to follow the herd instinct.

Your advise is right now Twitter is the best option to have same reach of their share and can bring great results.

Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful post.
